ChemoCian ("the app") is a study aid for the UK Medical Oncology SCE, developed by Cian Murphy. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle. In short: the app has no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The only data that ever leaves your device is content you choose to send us — an optional problem report or a feedback email.
The app has no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you in the normal course of using the app. The two exceptions, both initiated by you, are the "Report a problem" feature and the "Submit feedback" email link, described below.
If you tap "Report a problem" on a question, the app sends the note you type together with that question's text to the developer using Apple's CloudKit service. CloudKit associates the report with your iCloud account so we can follow up on duplicates, but we do not see your name, email, or Apple ID from it. We use these reports only to find and fix errors in the question bank, and we ask you not to include any personal or patient information in the note. Reporting is entirely optional — the app works fully without it.
Your quiz progress — questions answered, scores, flagged questions, and session history — is stored only on your device (using Apple's on-device storage). It is never uploaded to us or anyone else. You can erase it at any time with "Reset progress" in Settings, or by deleting the app.
The app downloads a static question bank over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection from Cloudflare R2 storage so that questions can be updated without an app update. This is a one-way download of a public file; the app does not send any personal data with the request. As with any internet request, Cloudflare may process standard technical information such as your IP address to deliver the file. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The app offers an optional "Submit feedback" link that opens your email app. If you choose to email us, we will see your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to respond to you.
The app is intended for medical professionals and trainees and is not directed at children.
